2.0 HDI RH02 RHH Engine [e.g. Peugeot 5008, Citroen DS4]

The 2.0 HDI (engine code: RHH) is a diesel engine developed jointly by PSA Peugeot Citroën and Ford. It belongs to PSA’s DW engine family, which has been in production since 1998. The RHH engine was introduced in 2006 and is fitted to many vehicles within the PSA group.

The 2.0 HDI engine has a displacement of 1,997 cc. It has four cylinders in an inline arrangement, and its turbocharged version produces up to 163 hp. Maximum torque is 340 Nm. The RHH engine uses a DOHC valve system with a single overhead camshaft and direct fuel injection. This setup allows for efficient fuel use and helps reduce particulate emissions.

This engine is also found in other vehicles built by PSA Peugeot Citroën’s partner manufacturers. The RHH engine is used in several Ford models as well, including the Ford Focus and Mondeo.

Servicing the 2.0 HDI engine is generally easy and affordable. It needs regular maintenance, such as oil changes and filter replacements, to keep performance at its best. With regular, proper servicing, the engine typically has a long service life.
