1.6 TDI "CLH" Engine [e.g. Golf, Passat, Polo, Leon, Octavia]

The Volkswagen 1.6 TDI engine (engine code: CLH) is a diesel engine designed specifically for use in passenger cars. It produces 77 kW (105 hp) and 250 Nm of torque. The engine has four cylinders and uses Common Rail direct injection technology, which makes it highly efficient and economical.

The block of the 1.6 TDI engine is made from extremely durable cast iron and comes with a range of innovative technical features, including exhaust gas recirculation and a particulate filter. The engine is also fitted with a turbocharger, giving it excellent acceleration and performance.

Particular attention was paid to fuel consumption and emissions when designing the 1.6 TDI engine. Particulate emissions are very low, and the engine meets Euro 5 emission standards. It is also highly economical, with a combined fuel consumption of around 4.5 litres per 100 kilometres.

This engine is used in several Volkswagen passenger car models, including the Golf, Jetta, Passat and Polo. It is also found in other makes, such as Skoda and SEAT.
