1.7 CDTI "A17DTF" Engine [e.g. Astra, Cruze]

The 1.7 CDTI (engine code: A17DTF) is a 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine developed jointly by GM and Fiat. It features variable turbocharger boost pressure and a direct injection fuel system. The engine also comes with a start-stop system that shuts the engine off at traffic lights and in similar situations to save fuel.

Peak output is 130 hp with 300 Nm of torque, and the engine meets Euro 5 emissions standards. It was offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
